M is now 8!

M turned 8 yesterday... where does the time go?

M has become more and more independent over the last year. She is such a serious kid, she wants to know what's coming next all the time. She reads when she's supposed to be sleeping, and her room is always a complete mess. She likes to draw and color and do art projects. She's so quiet sometimes, and others she loud and crazy. I love her to pieces!

And last weekend with her friends at Build-a-Bear...



Yesterday, her actual birthday, ended up being a snow-day so she got to stay home with me and the bean all day. We had lunch at Steak-n-Shake, got to see Santa when he came through the neighborhood with the firemen, and went out to dinner at her favorite place. I think it was a pretty good day!
