Things have been crazy the last few weeks. My sister got married on July 1. Now the girls have a new uncle and my sister is now Mrs. J. The girls were flower girls in the wedding and they did wonderfully. When M saw her dress the first time she said "I will be beautiful." and both girls proceeded to spin around in circles until they were too dizzy to stand. I was so worried about how they would behave. I figured out the trick... let's call her Barbie! I like to think of it as rewarding good behavior, you might call it bribery. No matter what you call it, it worked and the girls looked beautiful, walked down the isle all on their own. I'm so happy that my sister is happy. It means a lot to me. The girls love their Aunt and I'm glad that we'll have memories of them being part of her special day.


Yesterday I woke up to the sounds of J saying "Nummy... nummy, nummy, nummy" because G was making pancakes. That's a nice way to wake up on a Sunday morning. That little one has a mean streak though. I was trying to clean in the bathroom yesterday and J was hitting M. I put J in timeout for a while. When I went back to cleaning she went back over and hit M again. I know that she really just wanted some attention from me, but it's hard to avoid rewarding the bad behavior and rewarding the good when she's like that.
