Yesterday when we got home from work the power was out. It was about 5:30 pm and it was DARK! I went into the kitchen to call the electric company. While I was busy G gave M a flashlight to use and J just looked at him like "Where's mine?" so he gave her one also. J had the best time wandering around the dark house with the flashlight. She'd go from room to room just to check it out. She definitely has no fear and is intrigued by every little adventure in her life.

I just realized I'm old!

I just read an article on MSNBC.com that started with "The cost of mailing a letter will increase to 39 cents on Jan. 8." My initial thought was "Jeez - I remember when you could mail a letter for 32 cents". It's such an old person thing to say, that and "I remember when you could get a gallon of gas for less than $1.".

J loves to rock and rock. G thinks that she looks like she's reading the paper. It's so funny to watch her climb up into the chair and throw herself backwards to get it rocking. I swear that she's an old soul.

We have sooo many pine needles and leaves in our yard. M had a good time playing in them as we raked. We would barely get them in a pile and she would jump in them. She was so funny... she wanted to help so I let her use the broom that I had been using to sweep the driveway. Then she told me she was riding her broomstick like the witch from the Dora fairytale movie! :)
