Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween M decided she wanted to be a robot. Well, this was a lot of fun for G. He set to work putting together an old-school robot costume from cardboard boxes, flexible dryer hose and other bits and pieces he could find. In the end she was super cute, got lots of comments, but had a little bit of a hard time walking up stairs and seeing with the head on. G said she only fell down once, and that was when she tripped over some bricks edging the neighbors flower bed.

J on the other hand couldn't decide for quite some time, but finally settled on being Dora. She liked that she already had brown hair and brown eyes like Dora, so we went with it. We made a bracelet and found "backpack" to wear, she wore her own cloths that matched what Dora always wears and we were set. G said the only thing that would have been better would be to have a stuffed Boots the Monkey, or maybe Swiper.

The weather was perfect and they brought home all sorts of treats. I stayed at the house to hand out candy and a few kids told me jokes. Here is my favorite... Q: What do you call a witch on the beach? A: A sand-witch
