Disney recap -- Friday, Day 7:

Since we have already been to all the parks, today was a day to go back and re-ride anything that we really liked or ride anything that we skipped because it was lower on the priority list and to buy souvenirs. So, after breakfast at the hotel we went back to Magic Kingdom to ride the roller coaster again because J loved it soo much. Next we took the mickey ears we had purchased for the girls to the hat store to have their names embroidered on the back. Next we rode the carousel, the carousel of progress for G (I would've skipped this one, but G loves history and really wanted to go on it so he was happy). Next we rode the tram to Epcot (since the girls wanted to ride the tram again), where we ate lunch and rode "Ellen's Energy Adventure". This ride is very boring and sucks, but G wanted to ride. After this snoozer we went back to the hotel for a swim and a rest before dinner.

We went back to Epcot for dinner with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway. At dinner we got a full family picture with Aurora and we got to eat a yummy dinner and met Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, and Cinderella. The food was good, desert was fancy but the waiter was horrible. As part of dinner we bought the girls light-up Tinkerbell clips that they love. J likes to clip hers to her shirt and wears it around the house.

After dinner we rode the Seas with Nemo and friends one last time before heading back to the hotel.

Favorites from today:

J -- riding Goofy's Barnstormer Roller Coaster

Disney recap -- Thursday, Day 6:

Today we went back to Magic Kingdom after breakfast. I had promised J that we'd ride the train, and since we didn't get to that the first day this was 1st on our agenda. We got on the "WDW Railroad" and rode around to Mickey's Toontown Fair where we walked through all the houses (Mickey's, Minnie's, and Donald's boat) and then we rode Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster. M chickened out and didn't ride, but J loved, loved, loved the roller coaster. She was beaming when we got off. The excitement on her face was the highlight of the trip for me. (look at this face below, seriously, this is the best)

We rode a bunch more rides -- Tomorrowland Indy Speedway (M is a horrible driver), Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, Jungle Cruise, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Swiss Family Treehouse, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tom Sawyer Island, The Haunted Mansion, The Liberty Square Riverboat... basically we rode everything we hadn't ridden the day before plus we rod "It's a Small World" and watched the parade a second time. Then we camped out and watched the "Spectro Magic" parade -- where all the floats have lights which was very cool. We stayed around the part until it was time for the fireworks. We camped out in front of Cinderella's castle, so we got to watch Tinkerbell fly through the air (she slides down a wire from the castle with her wings all lit up to start the fireworks and J loved this), and the fireworks over the castle which were a big treat for the girls. This is the only night that we stayed at the park late enough to watch the fireworks so the were extra special to us all.

Today we ate all junk food -- corndogs, ice-cream, popcorn, pretzels, burgers, chicken nuggets... it was not healthy, but it was a treat. M reported a loose tooth, which I thought we'd loose on vacation, but it's still hanging in there.

Favorites from today:
M -- the fireworks and "Spectro Magic" parade
J -- Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster
G -- he didn't say, but I'd guess the fireworks or parade also
B -- the fireworks

Disney recap -- Wednesday, Day 5:

Today was Magic Kingdom day and that meant breakfast at Cinderella's Castle. Because we needed to be their for breakfast we got there early and watched the opening ceremony with Mickey and friends complete with mickey's head shaped confetti which the girls loved, of course. What's not to love, mickey and sparkles -- fun!

Breakfast at Cinderella's castle was a blast. The castle is beautiful, the girls got pictures with Cinderella and then we went up to the fancy dinning room for breakfast. The food was good and the princesses came to the tables to see all of us. We got to meet, and get autographs from Aurora, Jasmine, Belle and Snow White. As part of the breakfast the girls were given a wand and a wishing star. They had all the kids say the magic words "Bippity, Boppity, Boo" and they made the lights flash. The girls thought this was very magical.

We spent the day riding rides and seeing characters. We fit in a lot of rides for one day including "Dumbo", "It's a Small World", "The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", "Mickey's Philhar Magic", "Peter Pan's Flight" and "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin".

We waited in the long line to see Ariel in her Grotto and to see Tinkerbell and 2 other fairies in Toontown. J loved, loved, loved getting to meet Tinkerbell. She is her absolute favorite.

This time we camped out in front of Cinderella's castle to watch the parade, this time with Mickey ice-cream bars. Again, this parade was more parade than show, but the floats are all very done up and fun. It was packed full of characters from princesses, to villans to Mary Poppins (who the kids don't recognize). We really love a parade!
